A productive week

This week has been productive as mom, Sue, and I hang out together at the cabin by the lake.  I have done some thermofax printing, made a little Serendipity quilt (bird), dabbled in some Shibori work, and eaten peach pie made by the best pie maker in the world.  Mom has been busy finishing up a quilt challenge for her quilt guild in Mississippi.  The theme was “yellow” and “chickens”.  Check out what Sue has been doing at her blog, “Thread, Fiber, Fabric, Paint”.

Back to the Blog

I seem to have fallen off the blog wagon this past few months.  This past Spring, work has been very busy and stress filled and I didn’t seem to have the energy when I got home.  But now, it is summer time and my days are more on my own agenda so I will try to do better.

Summertime in New Hampshire are my fondest memories and my favorite days.  I am thrilled to be back at my beloved cabin home in the woods by the lake.  My friend and business partner at PGFiber2ArtSue and I use this time to work on our etsy shop and nurture our creativity.

Snow days

We have had a four day weekend now that our school system cancelled school both yesterday and today for snow and ice. So, my Babylock Ellisimo embroidery machine has been hard at work making these cute Mug Rugs.

The mug rug design comes from Five Star Fonts and some of the fabric as well as the gift tags were screened during a demonstration on Saturday at Artistic Artifacts.

Open House

I definitely didn’t mean to ignore my blog for over a month; somehow it just happened! Life marches on and lately it has been at the speed of light.
Tomorrow afternoon, December 7, 2013 I will be demonstrating thermofax screen printing at Artistic Artifacts in Alexandria. Come on out to learn or brush up on your printing techniques or just to chat. Artistic Artifacts is a charming store full of inspiring fabrics and items for journaling and mixed media arts. It is worth the trip.

Teaching at Artistic Artifacts

Sue and I are teaching at Artistic Artifacts on Oct. 19, 2013. This is a wonderful store to shop at as well as a great environment for teaching. The store is full of inspiration. If you have never tried thermofax screen printing before, feel free to join us. If you are already an expert, come use our paints and screens and have some open studio time.
